On September 22, 2021, Republic Cement Mindanao, Inc. (RCMI) headed by its Environment and ComRel Manager, Engr. Roel Piloton, turned over the Livelihood Center to Kiwalan Livelihood and Farmer’s Association (KLFA) represented by its President, Ronilo Baculio, in Purok 11, Kiwalan, Iligan City.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Engr. Rodante B. Felina, Chief of the Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD) and Virginia R. Verdejo, Supervising Science Research Specialist, respectively, of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region X along with Hon. Grecita Catubig, Barangay Captain of Kiwalan.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project, RCMI offers assistance to health, education, infrastructure, and livelihood under the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) in Barangay Kiwalan as their host community to provide the host and neighboring communities a better quality of life even after RCMI ceases to operate.
