The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region X, led by the Mine Safety, Environment, and Social Development Division with tis Chief, Engr. Rodante B. Felina, spearheads a three-day Workshop on Safety and Health, Environment, and Social Development (SHES) Reportorial Requirements on May 30, 31, and April 01, 2022 at Grand Caprice, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City.

The event amassed Safety Officers, Mine Environment Protection and Enhancement Officers, and Community Relations Officers of thirty-three (33) existing permit holders in Region X where they learned the basics of filling-out SHES Reportorial Requirements.  Each day focused on one specific section. Day 1 covered the discussion of Safety and Health Reportorial Requirements and other related matters from this section; Day 2 was allotted for the Environmental concerns; and lastly, Day 3 focused on Social Development documents.

This activity is pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 7942, otherwise known as the Philippine Mining Act of 1995 and Consolidated Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Order (CDAO) No. 2010-21, its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (RIRR) to address the safety and health, environment and social (SHES) attributes inherent to mining operations as well as streamlining the manner by which the reports for SHES should be prepared and submitted.
