Southwest monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, at 4:00 am today, the eye of Typhoon HANNA was located based on all available data at 955 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.3N, 131.1E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph.

The Provincial, City, and Municipal Governments are respectfully advised to take precautionary measures in view of Typhoon “Hanna” (“Soudelor”) which could have possible adverse impact on the local population, on health, on public and private infrastructure, on the economy.
The general public is advised to be prepared in the event of the occurrence of landslides and floods.
The Provincial, City, and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (P/C/M DRRMCs) are advised to be vigilant and to take precautionary measures.
Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs) are advised to coordinate with their City/Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (C/M DRRMCs) to plan for any emergency, including evacuation measures. Caution should be taken that evacuation centers are located in safe areas, that these should not be located in landslide-/flood-/hazard-prone areas.
